Meet The Staff

Jason Pon (Pharmacy Owner)

My name is Jason Pon. I am the independent owner of Patient Care Pharmacy. I was born and raised in Viking, AB. I graduated with the class of 2000 from the University of Alberta Faculty of Pharmacy. Coming from a small town, I feel strongly about being a part of the community and getting to know you and your family. I have the knowledge and experience to help manage your medications, to promote health and well being. I have my additional prescribing authorization which allows me to prescribe certain prescription medications when appropriate/necessary. I am also certified to administer injections; I can inject most vaccinations as well as Vitamin B12, allergy serums and medications.

I am committed to providing great service to each and every patient coming to my pharmacy. I feel this is achieved through clear communication and accountability for all the advice and prescriptions given out. I look forward to meeting you and becoming your pharmacist.

Beata Mackowiak (Staff Pharmacist)

I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree in 1991. Since graduating, I have been working in several community settings including franchise, chain and private practise. I am passionate about continuing education and have been taking many courses to upgrade my knowledge and keep up with new developments in the pharmaceutical field. I am authorized to administer drugs by injection.

Outside of work, I am a busy wife with three grown daughters. My free time is devoted to family and pursuing my interests. I enjoy walking my two dogs, hiking, cooking and gardening.

Lindsay Knight (Staff Pharmacist)

Hi, I'm Lindsay Knight. I graduated from the University of Alberta in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy (with Distinction). I've been enjoying a rewarding career in community pharmacy ever since. I've also done contract work with the Alberta College of Pharmacists.

I have a personal interest in fitness & nutrition and I am a proponent of the belief that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" (Benjamin Franklin). Travel is another passion of mine, and I strive to one day obtain a Certificate in Travel Health with the International Society of Travel Medicine. I am currently a certified injection pharmacist and am able to administer travel vaccines prescribed to you by your doctor. I love working at Patient Care Pharmacy and I hope to be helpful in your quest to lead a healthy and happy life!
